Fremantle Court Retirement & Care Community

We are working in partnership with the two landowners involved to evolve a proposal to create a retirement and care community adjacent to Fremantle Court, the 90-bed care home which opened in 2014.

Given the current demand for more independent living accommodation for the elderly in the Aylesbury Vale area, this proposal would help meet this need.

The land adjacent to Fremantle Court could accommodate up to 140 homes and extensive communal facilities, such as restaurant/snack bar, education/hobby suite, fitness suite, health clinic with potential for GP surgery, swimming pool and bowling green.

A further 17 acres would be a nature reserve to be enjoyed by residents of the care home, the new retirement and care community and the local community.

Integration of the Fremantle Court retirement and care community with the local community of Stoke Mandeville will be an important factor to make the development more sustainable. A sustainable business model will need to be created for the communal facilities, including access by the wider community.
